September 2, 2018. A very dry summer has led to an early autumn. A fire ban has been in effect in our locale for some time now. Many of the leaves are curling up, turning brown, and falling off trees. This normally happens at the end of September through mid-October.

Not a fantastic shot by any means, but on the walk home from the school bus stop my son and I remarked on how lovely the golden hour light was as it shone through the “helicopters”.
