The cylindrical figures grabbed our attention during a recent shopping trip to IKEA. Not only a conversation piece for the coffee table, the game box has some fun games we wanted to try, including Ludo.
You can’t tell by the photo, but Marley was recently attacked by an animal a few evenings ago. The shaved bits and scars are on his backside and on the side on which he is lying down (doesn’t that hurt, Marley?). The wounds are healing quite nicely thanks to a marvelous vet. Marley is slowly recovering. Some of his energy is returning, especially when food is being prepared in the kitchen for family dinner. However, he still needs more rest than usual, taking a nap wherever he can find it, such as inside the front door where the floor is cool.
7 AM. I hear a bedroom door open and then the not-so-quiet footsteps of the younger Sprout coming down the hall. He bounces into the living room area with a smile on his face. I ask, “How are you today, little man?” He grins his toothless grin and states, “Hugs for everyone!”
Best Saturday morning this year.
The older Sprout was tinkering with several pieces from a Little Bits kit. One of the bits was a fan, so I asked, “Where do you find fans?” thinking that the response would be technology related as fans are found in computers, laptops, and so on. Instead, the older Sprout replied, “At a Justin Beiber concert.” This just highlights the generation gap growing in our home. Sigh.
